Kelli Williams To Star In New Pilot

For the longest time, my favorite show was The Practice, and my favorite character was, of course, Lindsey Dole, played by Kelli Williams. I read somewhere once that The Practice was called the only show on TV without even one likeable character, and that’s just about accurate, although of everyone I think Lindsey was the most likeable. But I digress.

Kelli hasn’t been doing a whole lot lately, save for six episodes of Men In Trees recently; she’s probably been keeping plenty busy with her three kids. However, if her new FOX pilot, Lie To Me, takes off, she’ll be busy on the set too. She’ll be paired up with Tim Roth in the “human lie detector business.”

The drama series centers on Cal Lightman (Roth), a cutting-edge researcher in the field of “deception detection,” says the Reporter. Williams will play his colleague, Dr. Gillian Foster.

The character “is a gifted psychologist and Cal’s professional partner, a woman whose guidance Cal needs, whether he knows it or not.” I’m not even sure I know what that means, unless it implies that eventually they’ll be doing each other in the office. That’s TV these days, right? Well, I’m not the biggest FOX fan, but I will definitely check out this show to see how Kelli does.
