It is being reported that Morgan Freeman was injured in a car accident he was in Sunday night in Northern Mississippi. Reports say that Morgan probably fell asleep at the wheel while driving. He lost control of his vehicle and the car flipped many times.

One source tells TMZ that Freeman has broken several ribs and injured his knee. His female passenger, we’re told, had to be cut out of the car using the Jaws of Life.

The latest updates say Morgan is sitting up and talking in the hospital (but still in serious condition) while the female passenger has a couple of bumps and bruises but overall is alright.
