Bernie ‘Mac’ McCullough Dies At 50
50- year old comedian Bernard McCullough, aka Bernie Mac died earlier this morning of complications due to pneumonia at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
His rep just issued the following statement to TMZ: “Actor/ comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital. No other details are available at this time. We ask that his family’s privacy continues to be respected.”
The comedian suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body’s organs, but he had said the condition went into remission in 2005. He recently had been hospitalized and treated for pneumonia.
I don’t know if you guys ever watched “The Bernie Mac Show” but I love it and I was just watching it on cable when I read the news… so this is a of a big shock even if we knew he was in pretty bad shape at the hospital for more than a week!! Bernie was still soo young…
