Hayden Panettiere’s Dad Caught Spanking Mommy

Last night Hayden Panettiere’s parents, Lesley and Alan, got in a heated fight that ended in her father’s arrest for allegedly beating his wife. Alan Panettiere is being held on $50,000 bail.

Alan and Lesley Panettiere were at a party Sunday evening when Alan became upset because Lesley was “hanging” with someone and he felt she was “disrespecting” him, law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

According to Lesley Panettiere’s statement to sheriffs, the couple went home, began arguing and he struck her in the cheek. Cops took pictures and there are visible marks.

HollyScoop reports the fight started at the Whaleman Benefit dinner at Beso, when a drunk Lesley started flirting with Paula Abdul’s ex boyfriend JT Torregiani.

“Hayden’s mom drank way too much and was being rude to everyone. Her Dad was trying to put her in her place. Lesley striked him several times before he hit her,” said a spy.

Wow! It really doesn’t matter who started and why it happened but you would think two adults could actually talk about it without going physical. I know it is kind of hard to stay rational when someone is drunk but that is no excuse to beat a woman (or a man for that matter).

I’m actually really sorry Hayden has to go through this… I can’t imagine anything more embarrassing, especially cause it involves her parents. Hayden, just ground them both!! Bad, bad parents!!
