Britney Claims New Album is Best Yet

The big scoop this weekend is the first sit-down interview Britney Spears has done since her tumultuous 2007 series of trainwrecks, to OK magazine (hitting newsstands Friday), but the starlet is also opening up to MTVNews, and among other things calls her album her best work yet.

“I think it is more urban. I’m working with producers who are just amazing,” Spears said of the as-yet-untitled album, which she predicted would come out within the next six to nine months, and which will include songs produced by the Underdogs (who’ve worked with Chris Brown and Justin Timberlake).  There is this fresh new energy.”

Spears said she’s written more for this album than any other in her career and that she spends time at the piano in her living room every day, working on songs. “This is my best work ever,” she said of the album’s message.

In what finally seems like a good time to be Britney, the troubled icon has seemingly reached a new level.  One where she finally has stuff to write about.
