It has been confirmed by The Sun (via Popcrunch) that Madonna is in the process of adopting a three-year old Malawi girl named, Mercy James.The process is almost done and complete the Malawian officials say.

�Madonna�s representatives have been visiting the girl. The adoption is now advanced all the government is waiting for is Madonna to forward the petition of adoption formalities,� Malawi adoption minister, Penstone Klembe, says. �Then Mercy will be able to leave the country for a new life.�

Wasn’t Madonna just saying that it was too stressful adopting David? And now she wants to adopt another girl? I know her heart is in the right place but I hope this is what she really wants.

Madonna�s publicist, Liz Rosenberg, says reports that Madonna wants to adopt a girl named Mercy from Malawi are false, �There is no truth to this rumor. It�s an old one – wasn�t true then or now. Madonna is starting her tour in a week.� Liz did not say Madonna will never adopt again.
