James Franco Says It’s Easy Being Homeless

I have always thought that James Franco is cute…like in the pretty boy kind of way…and now he is just saying more cute things. James was researching a role he was doing in a movie where his character is homeless, so to really immerse himself in it he lived on the streets for a weekend.

“I stayed a whole weekend on the street, we panhandled, we made a sign. We made at least $20 in half an hour, so, if you’re ever out of work… make a sign - `Homeless, Please Help’.”

Now, I’m sure he’s never been to Calgary. I hate going downtown because there are so many people panhandling. And now it makes me wonder..are they homeless or just out of work?

Note to James: Hon, you only tried the homeless thing for a weekend. I’m sure it wouldn’t be ‘easy’ if you HAD to do it for months or years. You sound a little off-handed when you tell this story. Maybe it’s time to squash it now?
