One of my favorite new artists of 2008 is Estelle, and never one to be put in a box, the Brits’ answer to Lauryn Hill steps out into a performance that’s more Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings than a video-glammed up Erykah Badu (like she was in “American Boy”).
