Aaliyah, 7 Years Ago

It’s been seven years already? Sadly, it has, and what a change the music industry has been through since the blossoming R&pop princess and actress was tragically killed in a plane accident in Abaco Island, Bahamas. We’ve still got our up and coming music princesses, but it seems despite a few, Aaliyah was in ways the last of her kind– a young musician who was truly conquering huge feats: a role in the Matrix sequel that was cut short, alongside two additional movie roles, and promoting an album that many defend as having ushered in the sounds of R&B that we know and love today.
