‘Australia’ Delayed

The Baz Luhrmann directed Australia starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman has been moved.

The film was originally set for release on November 14th, but now they’re moving it to November 26th, five days after Harry Potter would have debuted on the 21st, had it not been moved. Without the Potter juggernaut to steal your cash, Australia doesn’t have to worry about trying to get its share before Potter hits theaters. It’ll be easier fending off Bolt and Twilight, which are now opening on the 21st instead.

Makes sense, Potter is such a huge movie, all the others need to scoop up the money at the beginning of the holiday season.

It moved because the new James Bond moved to Nov. 14.
