Obama gets Tim Gunn’s Vote… on Fashion

Project Runway mentor Tim Gunn gave Michelle Obama his vote… for best dressed first-lady wannabe.

“No contest, Michelle,” he said at the Tide and Downy’s Fashion Care launch at the Empire Hotel’s Pool Deck in NYC.

“She epitomizes class and style,” he added. “She looks approachable.”

“Cindy, on the other hand - with her button-down suits and blouses - looks like she’s duct-taped,” the Project Runway star said.

“Her fashion is a metaphor for her personality,” he added.

Ouch.

What a nasty thing for him to say about Mrs. McCain. Clearly this is because of his (gay) politics rather than anything having to do with the truth, for she is an elegant woman. The other is being heavily groomed to appear to be the reincarnation of Jackie Kennedy, the better to make her husband appear to be the reincarnation of JFK. As for being approachable, after learning about Michelle’s bigoted rant… er ‘college paper’ about white Americans, as a white American woman, I find her distinctly off putting, especially since affirmative action had put her in the school she was in when her test scores were sub par. I am not keen to be taxed into the stone ages, and the man has no experience. He will be controlled by others you did not vote for, being blinded by media manipulation and manufactured celebrity. Team McCain.
