David Blaine to Hang From a Wire for Ratings

David Blaine is back on ABC to conquer another death-defying endurance stunt.

This time Blaine will attempt to hang from a thin wire that is five stories in the air. He will not be using either a safety net or airbag in his attempt. He will attempt this stunt in Central Park’s Wollman Rink and will try to hang for three days and nights.

Blaine will use electro-magnetic boots in order to walk on and under the wire. He will go without food for the more than 60 hours on the wire. He will drink liquids and pull himself up to restore circulation. At the end of the challenge, Blaine will take a plunge. Exactly how he will do this dive is not being revealed.

Blaine’s high wire challenge will be performed in full public view and will start on the morning of September 22. David Blaine: Dive of Death airs on Wednesday, September 24 from 9 PM to 11 PM ET on ABC.

Wonder how much they’re paying him this time to risk it all?
