Many Johnny Depp fans don’t know that before he was a movie star, he was a musician. He reunited with his former band, The Kids, at the Sheila Witkin Memorial Reunion Concert on Friday night. Witkin was a music impresario in Florida, which is where Depp’s family was living when he first started playing music. The Daily Mail reported:

Fans were kept waiting until after midnight…to find out whether Depp could keep up with the Kids’ guitar-centred power pop – and he impressed amid screams from the packed floor.

Of course he impressed. Would you expect any less of him? He’s freakin’ Johnny Depp!
