Lily Allen rocked her look at the Christian Dior Fashion Show in Paris, France on Monday. It’s nice to see that Lily actually knows how to dress like a lady! She is wearing stripes instead of dead animals. That’s always a plus!
Lily also confirmed that she has a new album coming in February of 2009. How excited am I?

Who is Blake Lively kissing now? It sure doesn’t look like her boyfriend, Penn Badgley! OK, it’s John Patrick Amedori and they are filming a scene from Gossip Girl. A fantastic video game is being made into a feature film, God of War. Brett Ratner (X-Men 3) will direct.
Universal Pictures secured the movie rights to the popular video game created by Sony Computer Entertainment back in the summer of 2005. Mosaic Media Group’s Charles Roven and Alex Gartner were announced as producers at the time.
Set in ancient Greece, the game follows the battles of the warrior Kratos, who tackles mythological beasts including Medusa, Cyclops and the Hydra. Players navigate Kratos on his quest to find Pandora’s Box and destroy Ares, the god of war.
Hopefully the director can make this one work, looking at the video game’s visual intensity it may be tall order. There are so many possibilities with such a rich mythological world, hopefully the script is good!

Having hit iTunes today, most-recent American Idol winner David Cook’s debut single “Light On” is sitting nicely with quickly-growing sales at #33 on the digital download maven’s top 100. I’m sure it’ll be in the top 10 by the end of the night, and I’m not mad at that!! Co-written by musical genius Chris Cornell, the single is from Cook’s still-untitled debut hitting stores November 18th.

Janet Jackson has been released from the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal where she was taken last night after falling ill during a concert sound check. Though there were no further details available on her condition, a source told People:
“A 42-year-old body can’t handle what a 22-year-old body can,” says the source. “I can tell you that she’s definitely tired. It was probably exhaustion. She is doing back-to-back, three-hour shows, and her body isn’t the same as it used to be.”
Meanwhile, the magazine noted that while Jackson was in the hospital, sweetie Jermaine Dupri continued to party it up in New York.
“If [Janet's condition] was more serious he would’ve rushed to her side,” added the source.
Hmmm. She’s probably not pregnant then, don’t you think? Maybe he’s trying to get all the partying out of his system before she gets pregnant and he has to act like a grownup!

Is Simon Pegg taking the title of his latest film How To Lose Friends And Alienate People a bit too far? He recently launched a few barbs at his fellow countryman Ricky Gervais on a British radio show.
Speaking on the Jamie Theakston and Harriet Scott show on Heart FM, Pegg was asked
whether he - like Gervais - was feeling the pressure of the LA lifestyle.
Instead of responding in his usually mild-mannered style, he said: ‘He says a lot of things, that man. He said there’d been no good British films since 1950. What an idiot.’
He then continued:
‘If you go to LA, you can get sucked into that.
‘I’ve seen people go there and suddenly become rake thin because there is a slight pressure on you to be thin. I’ve also seen a lot of fat people there.’
When the topic of Gervais’s portly figure was later brought up, Simon rubbed salt into the wounds by adding: ‘He’s one of the fat people in LA, yes.’
Damn, Simon! What did Ricky ever do to you? The Daily Mail was surprised that Simon went there unprovoked, because Ricky hadn’t been saying nasty stuff about Simon, but he just might start now. Or maybe this is just a bit of that British humor that Americans have so much trouble comprehending?

Kiefer Sutherland plays a tough guy in the show, 24, and I couldn’t imagine that this guy would be scared of anything. But he is, he avoids looking into mirrors at any cost…
“Come over to my house. You won’t find a mirror anywhere. I don’t like mirrors. They are frightening.”
And you know that fear explains everything! I wondered why he always looks like he’s not put together sometimes. It must be because he can’t see what he looks like! Or may be he said Bloody Mary too many times in front of a mirror?

Janet Jackson has been forced to cancel and reschedule a show in Montreal because of an unspecified illness. The L.A. Times reports:
The singer “got suddenly ill during the sound check” before her concert in Montreal and had to be rushed to the hospital, according to People.
If she hadn’t also cancelled Friday’s show in Detroit (”production issues”), I would have suggested that perhaps she caught something from sweetie Jermaine Dupri when he puked on her at his own birthday party this weekend.
NecoleBitchie speculates that Ms. Jackson is in a family way… but unless there’s a problem, why is she in the hospital? Inquiring minds want to know…in the meantime, get better soon, Janet!

On last night’s episode of The Hills, both Spencer and Stephanie Pratt proved to be even bigger losers than we already anticipated. With Spencer being completely disrespectful and demeaning to Heidi’s mom and Stephanie flat-out lying to Lauren Conrad, I really wonder why these girls keep the idiot Pratts around. They are basically just attention-sucking leeches and should be peeled off and thrown out. Despite Stephanie’s incessant blaming of Doug, somehow Lauren manages to forgive her, choosing her girlfriend over a boy. Here’s the whole scoop:
The new war in The Hills is between Spencer Pratt
and Heidi’s mom, Darlene Montag, who pays a visit to Heidi in this episode. Shocked to learn that Heidi and Spencer are living together again, she takes Spencer to lunch to see if the move is wise.
She first thanks him for letting Heidi’s sister, Holly, stay with them as she looks for a job. But the meal turns sour as Spencer tells Darlene that Holly has ulterior motives. Darlene replies that Spencer is very controlling and manipulative, not to mention condescending, rude and very hostile.
Darlene later breaks down while recounting the events to Heidi. Of Spencer, Darlene says, “Maybe he doesn’t want you to be as close to the family. Maybe I’m being controlling, but it’s hard for me. I don’t want to lose you. I just want to see you happy.”

Dennis Quaid is furious with ex-wife, Meg Ryan, accusing him of cheating in an interview she did for InStyle magazine. She said…
“Dennis was not faithful to me for a long time, and that was very painful”
And now Dennis is firing back and sticking up for himself…
“It was eight years ago, and I find it unbelievable that Meg continues publicly to rehash and rewrite the story of our relationship,” the actor [says]. “Also, I find it regrettable that our son, Jack, has to be reminded in a public way of the turmoil and pain that every child feels in a divorce.”
“I, myself, moved on years ago and am fortunate to have a happy, beautiful family.”
I think being a celebrity in a divorce has to be hard. But it’s not mature to take swipes at your ex’s when it’s going to be talked about. And their poor son. I know exactly how he feels since I grew up with my parents being divorced.
There are two sides to a story. I refuse to side with either one of them.

Let’s get one thing straight. Janelle Monae is deliciously bizarre. I love her, and so does Diddy. The Bad Boy mogul signed the Outkast protege to his label, showcasing her uniquely indie vibes to a worldwide venue and so far, the results have been impressive. Her video for her lead single “Many Moons” (off of her album Metropolis, already available as an EP on iTunes) has just debuted, and if you don’t already know about Monae, it serves as the perfect introduction.

The clear winner in this week’s new releases round-up has to be T.I. with his newest album Paper Trail. While it may not rival Lil’ Wayne’s The Carter III in units sold, it certainly is the best rap album to be released since Kanye’s Graduation. After being booted from America’s Next Top Model, Isis King had some things she wanted to say. Here are some of them:
“I have a lot of personality people!” the 22-year-old from Prince George’s County, MD proclaimed to reporters during a Thursday media conference call that followed her elimination on Wednesday night’s broadcast. “I have a really big personality,” Isis told reporters. “I am a really humble person… but I’m goofy. I like to have fun. That part of me [the show wasn't] really showing. It showed more of my struggle, which I do have also.”
“I think [it] started to drain me so much to be constantly on the cameras 24-hours-a-day and not have any time for privacy at all to get myself back together to talk to somebody,” she told reporters. “On the show I didn’t really have a problem with anybody. I see the comments that some individuals make but on the show I pretty much got along with everybody,” she added later.
Isis said she had never wanted to enter the show labeled as a “transgendered model” and had wanted to be judged “on the same level as anybody else.”
Since being announced as a contestant on the show, Isis said that she had received an outpouring of positive feedback from the gay, lesbian, and transgendered community, and even told reporters that she had been asked to be honored by a Maryland civil rights group. “I thought that was very wonderful. Like, why would you want to present me with an award?” she told reporters sheepishly.
“I learned first, for me [to actually say] ‘you know I’m gonna go for it, and no matter what people think about me and see my flaws I’m gonna give it my all because I never know what could come from [that] opportunity,” she told reporters.
She added that she had still to complete her gender reassignment, but hoped to finance it in the next year through modeling and fashion design jobs she hoped to get as a result of her participation from the show. “I’m a model and fashion designer, that’s my biggest passion, I’m an artist first,” she told reporters. “Hopefully I can be on runways and get campaigns.”
“It goes to show you that no matter what people say or think about you, or no matter where you come from, you can achieve whatever you want,” she told reporters later. “It’s cliche, but it’s true because I’m not where I wanna be yet. But even me getting this far, and from where I’ve started I’ve struggled a lot and will still continue to struggle, but I know that I’m moving in a positive light, so I’m happy.”

In other news, pigs have been reported to be sprouting wings. Guns N’ Roses’ new (and 6th) album release Chinese Democracy may finally be hitting shelves before 2008 comes to a close. The last release date record label Interscope had listed was March 2007, but during some kind of mysterious Best Buy promo event, manager Andy Gould told 900 Best Buy employees that the album will now be released November 25th, as a Best Buy exclusive!
The most exciting part? It might be a pretty-founded rumor. Tracks like “If the World”, “Night Train” and “Dead Horse” have been swirling around online in mastered versions.
The final say though? Axl Rose himself, who has yet to comment.
