Liz Phair Writing Music for New “90210″

Holy 90’s flashback, Brenda! If you tuned in to the premiere episode of the CW network’s modernized 90210 (which I guiltily admit I’m hooked on), you probably noticed the saturation of new music (from Colby O’Donnis to Tilly and the Wall–who actually performed as guest stars at queen bee Natalie’s “not-so-sweet 16″ birthday party). Giving even more tune cred is Liz Phair, who’s writing the music behind the angst & parking lot blow job scenes. Pretty cool, huh?

This isn’t Phair’s first foray into TV music composition however. She’s recently been featured behind the booth for CBS’s camp-fest Swingtown.
