Oprah Would Love To Interview Sarah Palin - But Not Until After The Election
Rumors have been swirling around that Oprah Winfrey had booked Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin to appear on her show. Because she’s a woman, right, and therefore should be interviewed by Oprah, rather than someone harder hitting like, oh, I dunno, Bill Moyers? *eyeroll* Anyway, it turns out it’s not true at all. Winfrey told Entertainment Tonight that the rumors are “categorically untrue.”
“There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show,” she tells ET. “At the beginning of this presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”
Oprah hon, you may not be using your SHOW as a platform for any candidates, but you certainly are using your FAME as a platform, and you can’t really separate your show from your fame. I guess I respect her attempt at being non-partisan, even though I am sure a large portion of that decision is based on not wanting to offend viewers on either side, which makes her words just the eensiest little bit disingenuous, don’t you think? Gotta keep those ratings solid.

Non partisan? Where have you been? She had Obama on her show twice and she has actively CAMPAIGNED for him. I believe she also had Michelle Obama on her show. She is a total hypocrite and I would have to say a bigot which is sad since she has made so much money off of the white women in her audience. She is insulting, very political and very biased. No matter. Sarah Palin does not need her, her show, or her bloated ego. Oprah has a very unattractive grandiose sense of herself and her place in the universe. She is all ego. I hope Palin does not give her or her show the time of day after she and McCain take the white house. Oprah should stick to interviewing pregnant men.
