NKOTB Can’t Stop the “Recession”

The weekly Soundscan round-up has been counted, and Young Jeezy’s The Recession has officially come out on top with 260,000 copies sold, literally soaring above the New Kids on the Block’s reunion effort The Block with a distant 95,000 units moved (still not bad, considering the actual recession).

At a comfortable #3 position, The Game’s LAX while Kid Rock’s Rock N Roll Jesus is still charting insanely high considering the amount of time it’s been out, at #4 with that awful “All Summer Long” having breathed new life into the project.

Slipknot’s All Hope Is Gone dropped slightly to #5.

Something I forgot to point out last week is that Making the Band star and Bad Boy signee Donnie Klang’s debut project Like a Rolling Stone was hyped each week by mentor Diddy himself.  Branded as a fresher version of Justin Timberlake, Klang fell far short of fellow series stars Danity Kane and Day26 (whose recent albums both debuted at #1) debuting at a DISMAL #19.
