Britney Spears’ British Family Revealed!
I love the British tabloids, mainly for stuff like this: The Daily Mail has uncovered all-American girl Britney Spears‘ British family.
Brit’s grandmother, Lilian Portell, was a typist when she met Barnet Bridges, an American GI who was in London during World War II. They married in 1945 and returned to the United States, settling in Louisiana. In 1956 they had a daughter named Lynne, who is now one of the world’s most famous stage moms.
Lynne herself spent time in London prior to marrying Jamie Spears. She lived with her aunt Joan Woolmore, who visited the Spears family in 1991.
Miss Woolmore…explained that she had no recent contact with the pop star but admitted she was sad to hear about her recent problems.
She said: ‘She had a lot of talent you could see that even when she was little. She always wanted to be the centre of attention, always dancing or singing. She did remind me of my sister Lilian – she was a real beauty as well.’
‘I was surprised when she became a huge star all over the world but she was pushed into it. Lynne was very ambitious for her. These latest problems – it is very sad. I really hope that is all behind her now.’
Can you imagine if the Bridges had stayed in London instead of going back to Louisiana? Brit might have ended up as classy as Emma Watson; then again, she could have also ended up as classless as Lily Allen, or as completely jacked up as Amy Winehouse, y’all!
