‘Big Brother’ Runner-Up Memphis Gets Car Jacked
Memphis Garrett may have lost Big Brother to Dan Gheesling, but at least he got $50,000 and a ‘69 Camaro right? Not exactly…
In the first episode of Big Brother 10, Memphis won a smokin’ 1969 Camaro in a car-pulling contest. After Memphis won the car, he continuously indicated throughout the series that, “at least I won the car,” indicating that if he walked away with nothing else he would be satisfied with that prize. Memphis did end up winning $50,000 with his second place finish, but in a strange twist, the car of his dreams has been taken away!
It turns out that Big Brother never actually owned the title of the car and had to return it to the owner almost immediately after the contest.
Memphis, the Mixologist had no idea what had taken place because the car had been jacked while he was inside the house. On Tuesday, when Memphis gained his freedom, losing to Dan, he found out that his sweet ride wasn’t really his and to add to the plot, the car has been repainted by the owner since it was on the show.
Apparently the producers are trying to buy the car from the real owner. A 1969 Camaro can sell online for as low as $7,000 to as high as $80,000 and sources say that the person who actually holds the title of the car will sell it for $24,000.
Big Brother has yet to comment on the incident.
Geesh… Sorry, Memphis. That sucks for you!

I have never seen the owner go broke taking the car but those who get greedy will lose. It is absolutely vital that the owner have the title when it comes to planning the show. It is also designed to be used with the title.
