‘Sex… With Mom and Dad’ Premieres Tonight on MTV
Remember that old show on MTV that Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew Pinksky did together years ago? Well, Dr. Drew is back to talk about sex, yet again. The series is meant to help families discuss issues of a sexual nature together.
Relationship expert Dr. Drew Pinksy will be starring in a new series on MTV. The new series is called “Sex…with Mom and Dad” and will provide information and resources on sexual health topics.
“This is a unique and compelling format from overseas that we redeveloped and adapted for the MTV audience about getting families to talk openly about a taboo topic,” said Tony DiSanto, who is EVP of MTV Programming and Series Development. “’The talk’ is a personal choice for every family, but what Dr. Drew uncovers in this show is that by talking openly and honestly about sex, families can re-program their way of thinking, break down walls, reinforce trust and create deeper bonds.”
Each episode of “Sex…With Mom and Dad” will run for half an hour. Dr. Drew will work with a teen and their parents to overcome their problems discussing sex, dating and relationships. Some of the topics covered on the series will be a promiscuous teen, a virgin going to college, and a gay teen with a taste for bad boys. In each episode, Dr. Drew will assign two fun, but challenging tasks to help families overcome their issues and talk sexual beliefs and experience.
Dr. Drew also stars in a reality TV series on VH1 called Celebrity Rehab. The second season of Celebrity Rehab is scheduled to air in October. “Sex…with Mom and Dad ” with Dr. Drew Pinsky premieres on Monday, September 29 at 7 PM ET/PT on MTV.
I understand the importance of talking about sex with teens, but how many parents will actually watch a show on MTV to see how to do it?
