James Franco Is In Love With Sean Penn And Isn’t Afraid To Admit It

So I’ve been a little obsessed with the James Franco/Scott Smith-Sean Penn/Harvey Milk story, true.  Partly it’s that I remember when Harvey Milk was shot, and the outrage over Dan White‘s moderately successful Twinkie Defense.   It’s a story that has been begging to be told for the last 30 years.   But I digress.

Anyhow, James Franco recently admitted that it wasn’t too hard for him to act the part of Sean Penn’s lover, because he already had some strong feelings for him:

Basically, I’ve been in love with him since even before “Fast Times.” He did this little thing called “The Beaver Trilogy.” … So, basically I’ve been in love with Sean Penn since “The Beaver Trilogy.”

Wow, that’s a long time, considering Franco was only one year old when the first of The Beaver Trilogy vignettes was filmed!!  I have a feeling, though, that gay men are the new lesbians in Hollywood now.  I sense a trend coming on!

*sigh!* I believe Mr. Franco is just playing with words. I’d never read more into it than what millions of women believe him to be – a devastatingly handsome young man who is STRAIGHT!!

I probably read WAY too much into that statement because I loved them together in Milk and I honestly think it would be amazing to have Mr. Franco and Mr. Penn actually being gay…

Although, it’s not going to happen.

But, that’s what fanfiction is for!
