Clint Eastwood Is The Reason McCain Picked Sarah Palin

clint eastwood

At least in his own mind!  Clint Eastwood, who delved into politics back in 1986 when he became Mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, jokes that he turned down John McCain - even before he had a chance to ask.

“I was at a function, and a bunch of political types were there. And John McCain was there. He came up to say hello, I said, ‘Look, don’t even ask it. I will not be your vice president. I have to be on the top of the ticket.’”

Well, seriously, who could imagine Dirty Harry being anything but on top?  Consider this bit of trivia:  After 78 years, he still holds the record for largest baby ever born at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco.  He tipped the scales at 14 pounds!  Ouch!!!
