That’s Reverend Carlos Santana To You
Rock legend Carlos Santana knows what he wants to do when he retires from music.
“I’m going to stop playing when I’m 67 and work on what I really want to do, which is to be a minister, like Little Richard,” he said to Rolling Stone.
“I’m not sick of what I do, but I find that God gave me the gift of communication even without my guitar and with the ability to get people unstuck with certain sections of the Bible having to do with guilt, shame, judgment and fear.”
He credits his faith with helping him get through his divorce from ex-wife Deborah, and inspired him to consider starting a church in Maui.
I would totally go to Santana’s church! You know it would have awesome music, and it’s in freakin’ Maui, for goodness sake! Plus it’s Santana! I was very sad that he and Deborah split after so long (34 years, and they seemed like such a great couple), but if something good can come out of it, for him and for other people, then more power to him.
