“I can remember being 16 or 17 when they asked us to be on the show, and it was our big moment,” said Beyonce who claims she owes a lot to MTV’s soon-defunct countdown show TRL which made its debut in 1998.

Giving back, Mrs. Carter will be performing on the TRL finale November 16th (8pm).

Tuesday’s episode was dedicated to counting down Beyonc�’s greatest video achievements. Even the pop star said it was crazy to see how far she’s come over the last decade. “I mean, I dreamed [I would have this kind of success], but I never thought it would be a reality,” the former Destiny’s Child frontwoman said on the show.

Although she is excited to be a part of the show’s fond farewell, she has yet to decide on a song. “What should I perform?” she asked the audience.
