Zac Efron is denying the rumors that he will accept $10M to appear with Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean 4.

Efron told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning: “Honestly, at this time it’s just a rumor.”

But the actor is hopeful it could happen and would jump on the opportunity if it was offered to him, adding, “I wish I was going to be in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 4,’ so hopefully that will happen for me.”

Oh, Disney.  Let it never be said that you don’t know how to keep the buzz alive, even for a movie franchise that has pretty much played itself out.
