UPDATE: New Details In Jennifer Hudson Family Killings
More details have emerged in the murders of Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother on Friday in Chicago.
Police have suspect William Balfour in custody for the murder of Darnell Donerson and Jason Hudson, and possibly for the abduction of Jennifer’s seven year old nephew. According to Entertainment Tonight:
[Balfour's] mother Michelle tells the AP he was married for “several years” to Jennifer Hudson’s sister, Julia, who on Friday, according to Chicago’s WBBM, discovered the bodies of her mother and brother. Balfour and Julia later separated after her and Jennifer’s slain mom, Darnell Donerson, “ordered” him out of the family home last year, Balfour’s mother adds to the AP.
Balfour is a parolee who served prison time for “attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possession of a stolen vehicle.”
Jennifer’s nephew, who was found to be missing from the family home, was not with Balfour when he was picked up. An Amber Alert has been issued, and the FBI have become involved in the search for the child. They were asked to assist because police believe that the boy may have been taken out of Illinois.
Neighbors and friends have created a memorial of flowers, crosses and stuffed animals outside the family’s home.

me and bless her hear she is with the lord now she always rold me thast the lord wont put more then you can bear
i know tha want bring them back but just remember that the lord had you in all this it hard i know in every one life
they have lost some one that they love and it hurt no matter how it happon and i can say that i lost a cousion the same \
