Patrick Swayze Says, “Chemo Is Hell On Wheels”

Patrick Swayze is starting to feel better since being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in January. In his first interview since then he talks about how chemo feels to him…

“I’m still fine to work, I haven’t changed — oh, I have changed, what am I saying? It’s a battle zone I go through. Chemo, no matter how you cut it, is hell on wheels.”

He is busy working on the A&E Show, The Beast, and the producers say that he has only missed a day and a half of work because of the way he feels. Patrick has also managed to gain 20 pounds since the beginning of taping, by drinking “muscle-building shakes.”

“His doctors continue to be encouraging,” says Zack Van Amburg, co-president of Sony’s television studio, “His scans have been clean and clear. But they always couch things in caution. They tell us things like: ‘He should be fit to work, as far as we can tell today.’ ” He added, “They have never said he’s cured.”

I’m so glad to see that he is feeling better.
