Leona Lewis has decided she will adopt when she is ready to have a child. She was inspired to adopt when she visited a number of orphanages in Africa.

�I definitely plan to adopt. My mom was a social worker and my dad was a youth offender officer, so I know that there are a lot of kids out there that need to be fostered and adopted,� Leona says. �When I was in Africa I wanted to take home all the kids. They were so cute. All of them had been orphaned because of HIV and it was heart-rending. There are so many who need help – you just don�t know where to start.�

I think that adoption needs to be talked about more. Why can’t a woman that can have babies adopt and not feel like they are betraying themselves? Power to these women that feel strong enough to do that.
