Brooke Burke Gets First Perfect Score of the Season

Here’s how last night’s episode of Dancing with the Stars went down…

For the first time ever in the show’s history, producers introduced a group dance number, pitting Team Cha Cha Cha against Team Paso Doble; the teams earned group scores that were added to the contestants’ individual scores. Also, with the Presidential Election looming, the Results Show was moved to Wednesday. Despite these new wrinkles this week, a few things stayed the same: Brooke Burke won the night (and a few extra 10s), Lance Bass delivered yet another offbeat performance, and there was another injury among the cast, with Maurice Green hyper-extending his leg during rehearsal.

Team Cha Cha Cha: Lance Bass, Cody Linley and Susan Lucci delivered an iffy group number with Lucci looking the weakest of the three. Cody and Edyta sure make a handsome couple. But it’s Lance and Lacey who really shine here. Score: 20/30

Team Paso Doble: Warren Sapp, Maurice Greene and Brooke Burke own the stage with this number, definitely proving the stronger of the two groups. How can you go wrong when you have both Warren and Brooke on the same team? Folks, this one’s not even close. Score: 29/30

The Scorecard

Who won the night: Brooke Burke

Who brought up the rear: Warren Sapp

Who’s next to go: Susan Lucci

Who’s back in the mix: Maurice Greene

And P.S… Lacey Schwimmer and Cheryl Burke looked hotter than ever!
