We most likely won’t see a new Linkin Park album until well into 2009, but co-frontman Mike Shinoda who along with the rest of the group has been in the lab working on their follow-up to the multi-platinum Minutes to Midnight is excited.

�I didn�t stop writing since the last record,� says Shinoda. �They�ve seen the stuff on my hard drives. I�ve got a lot of material, and I know the other guys have a good amount of stuff too. It�s going to be fun.�

It’s been said that the group, who changed things up on their last project, will be returning to their near-metal vibe throughout this next project.� Shinoda is also currently working on production for a Cypress Hill track.
