Top 10 Reasons NOT to Toss Out the ‘Lipstick’
As I posted last night, NBC is at it again. Pulling shows off the air that are actually good and keeping the mindless junk in the line up. i.e. Earl, Chuck, Kath & Kim. They have put the cap on our ‘Lipstick’ and seemingly crushed many hearts in the process (mine included).
So, here it is…straight from the fans, pleas for mercy. This is turning into a global crisis!!
10. I am devastated over this!! I live in Ireland so I can’t contribute to NBC figures but I just can’t believe that they are doing this.
I love Lipstick Jungle and have really become engrossed in it, it is one of the best shows around at the moment and they haven’t even given it a chance to really get going. Season 2 has been even better than season 1 and now after airing only 7 episodes of the second season they decide to pull it… It just doesn’t make sense to me!! I’m sure shows like SATC didn’t have outstanding viewing figures in the first couple of years.
I really hope that NBC either get a grip of themselves or some other network picks up the show, I hate to think that it could end completely.
Does anyone know how to contact the three ladies? Especially Kim Raver? I’d love to email them or something just to give my support.9. I’m sorry, If NBC wants to cancel a show with 4.2 million viewers they have to be stupid!! After Sex and the City went off air i didn’t know what to watch. Than came Lipstick Jungle and now NBC wants to take that from all of their viewers. Thats ridiculous!!!
8. NBC are you crazy?? Lipstick Jungle is one of the best shows on TV right now. Why is it when you get a good show on and it starts getting really good you decide to cancel it? I am in anticipation for tonights show!! Please reconsider this decision!! My friends and I cant wait for Friday nights now to get together and watch Lipstick Jungle.
7. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I saw last night it was being canceled I was SICK - its the only show I LOVE and look forward to seeing!!!!!
I could recommend a couple other “new” shows that suck - get rid of those - keep the AWESOME ONES!!! …I dont understand the reason - its so, so great - we have all grown attached to the story line and characters - dont cancel it.6. NBC PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL Lipstick Jungle!!! I haven’t loved a show so much since Sex in the City. You have an amazing cast of women portraying real-life drama, sexy and classy style and beauty inside and out. The networks are blooming with gossip of the shows cancellation. I beg you to please reach out to the fans before cancelling the show. With DVRs and TiVo you can’t really capture the true viewership ratings. I hardly watch a live show on it’s scheduled date and time, but you can be damn sure that I record every episode of Lipstick Jungle.
5. I was so sad to hear NBC canceled Lipstick Jungle, but not surprised. My friends and I seem to be the kiss of death - most shows we like get canceled. We are all working moms and have very little time for entertainment. We don’t need any more stress in our lives so all the stressful shows and reality TV crap don’t provide a true escape for us. Lipstick Jungle is a show about everyday life. Granted I don’t know any women with the money these gals have but that is part of what makes this show an escape from real life. Great fashion, good friendships, yummy romance and no guns or blood. NBC - do you realize how hard it is to find good TV that fits the bill? Without Lipstick Jungle, all you offer in the “no-stress” category is sitcoms and most of those are just plain stupid. Please NBC - support working moms who need an hour of escape. Please don’t cancel Lipstick Jungle. It’s the closest thing to Sex and the City we have.
4. You people are really starting to get on my nerves. I absolutely adore Lipstick Jungle. Everytime you put a great show on your network like ‘Men in Trees’, you turn around and cancel it. How are we suppose to really enjoy great shows and make them part of our lives for years like ‘Mash’, ‘Seinfeld’, or ‘Will & Grace’ when you cancel them just when they get started.
3. I was really impressed that NBC finally aired a show with substance, and shows women holistically - successful, caring, and multi-tasking. I love how the show realistically follows “good women” at the top — not showing them as *******, or completely unethical. I love how the show doesn’t concentrate merely on successful women and sex — it actually shows them grappling with real life issues. These girls were my idols — 3 female bestfriends working together, not competing against each other and still successful.
DON’T CANCEL THE SHOW!!! I love the girls!!!
Please don’t disappoint us NBC.
2. OH MY GOD.. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT CANCEL LIPSTICK JUNGLE. KEEP IT ON, ON FRIDAY’S IF YOU HAVE TOO, BUT KEEP IT ON. YOU KEEP STUPID SHOWS ON, YET CANCEL GOOD ONES. I AM IN CANADA AND ALL THE WOMEN ON THE STREET WATCH IT. WE LOVE, IF YOU WANT US TO CONTINUE WATCHING YOUR STATION, DO NOT CANCEL
1. I heard today on the today show that NBC has decided to cancel Lipstick Jungle (Kathy Lee and Hoda shot part of a scene for the last episode, or something). Upon hearing this I am completely disgusted with this network! every time a good show comes along in their lineup and I become a religious watcher, the show gets canceled and replaced by some IDIOTIC game show or another show to be canceled too.
As soon as Lipstick Jungle airs its last episode and ER is over I WILL NEVER WATCH NBC. I am completely fed up with this network. Lipstick Jungle is an amazing show that brings women together and empowers them, this show has a great impact on all women in whatever stage of life they are in, and now they are going to cancel it and probably put some stupid game show.
I only hope that some other network picks up this show, it is very meaningful and I feel that people can relate to the characters on many levels. Where on earth are the executives heads?!?!?
Words cannot explain how angry or let down I, or anyone else probably, is that this show is coming to an end. NBC I only hope that someday you find where your head is and remove it from where the sun doesnt shine, because if you don’t watch it you too will end up losing your butt in this financial crisis. Its simple math No viewers= No money game over! And PLEASE QUIT REPLACING GREAT TV WITH STUPID “REALITY” & GAME SHOWS!!! Whatever happened to the great sitcom?
So in a few weeks, Not only will I be without a great show to watch, good by local news, good bye to the today show (I am going to miss Matt, Meredith, Al and Anne THEY ARE AWESOME, but you might cut them too who knows right?), I will definitely miss the Today show.. and HELLO NEW NETWORK! I am thru with you NBC!
Hello………..NBC, are you listening yet??
