I’m an unapologetic fan of Christmas music.� I’m the guy who secretly listens to holiday tunes on his iPod until it’s socially more-acceptable to bust it out publicly after Thanksgiving.�� Needless to say, I was excited to learn that The Hives are teaming up with Cyndi Lauper for a free downloadable holiday track “A Christmas Duel” (out Nov. 28th).

“It may sound weird and come as a surprise to some, but we had to. It came to us. It landed in our lap and was way too good to shake or toss. We knew we had to record it. A sign if you will,” said the rockers

Cyndi chimed in saying, “This goes to show even rat sideswipers can have a good Xmas too.”
