Kanye Defines “Art for Art’s Sake”
I don’t know about you, but I haven’t been able to stop listening to 808′s and Heartbreak since its record store release yesterday. But truth be told Kanye West doesn’t care if you buy it or not (or so he says).
“You know people sometimes don’t understand great art when they first hear it, but I am very confident in it. Whether it sells as much as the last one, or way more, I feel like I am just successful in doing something I felt really good about.”
Interesting, and honestly, such a breath of fresh air from the “first week sales!!!!!” business.
