It is being reported today that Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom are engaged. The wedding is scheduled for the middle of next year when both of them have a break in their schedules. The couple celebrated the engagement with a getaway to Venice.

This announcement comes after Miranda denying that they had any plans at all in their relationship. She also said that she would like kids someday, so may be Orlando will be her baby’s daddy?

“I’ve always wanted kids, so…someday…eventually, yes, it will happen. My ideal situation would be to live on a farm in a solar-powered house with a hammock and a vegetable patch. When this is all over that’s where I’ll be.”

She sounds like such a romantic. And their babies will be so cute!

UPDATE: Just Jared has an exclusive comment from Orlando’s rep about the engagement.

“The rumors are not true,” Orlando’s rep exclusively [said]. “He is not engaged.”

I guess we will just have to keep wishing.
