In Honor of World AIDS Day

I’m fresh off of losing my grandmother this holiday season, so the fact that today’s World AIDS Day only doubles my appreciation for those who have passed us. If you’re not uber-familiar with Freddie Mercury of Queen, inform yourself a little more here. The incredible voice was extinguished in 1991 as a result of acute bronchopneumonia as a result of the disease. He was 45, and in-fact didn’t publicly acknowledge his battle with HIV until right before his tragic death.

Prayers for everyone struggling with the disease and its symptoms, today especially; that those with the capabilities to someday find a cure, do.
