Mark Ballas & Derek Hough’s Band Signs with Hollywood Records
Mark Ballas and Derek Hough aren’t just Dancing with the Stars anymore… now they will be singing with them, too. Hollywood Records has announced it’s signed the Dancing with the Stars professionals’ band to a recording deal and will release the group’s debut album early next year.
Ballas, Hough and the rest of their five-piece band are currently in the studio with producers John Fields, Eric Valentine and Adam & Andy — putting the finishing touches on their debut album, which is slated to drop in March.
In addition to Ballas and Hough on vocals and guitar, the band’s line-up features Emily Grace on keyboards and vocals, Sam Marder on bass and Harry Sullivan on drums.
The band formed in 2005 under the name Almost Amy before recently changing its moniker to the Ballas Hough Band – presumably to capitalize on the Dancing with the Stars success of its two most notable members.
Apparently, the Houghs are a very multi-talented family!
