The Watergate Figure Known as ‘Deep Throat’ Dies

Mark Felt kept one of our nation’s biggest secrets, just that – a secret, until 2005 when he finally told ‘Vanity Fair’ magazine that he was the Watergate figure known by the alias of ‘Deep Throat,’ that tied President Richard Nixon to the Watergate Hotel break-in.  Felt blew the whistle by leaking the information to Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein.

Felt passed away Thursday in Santa Rosa, California at the age of 95. Ironically Bob Woodward was one of the first to report of his death.
