Yes, thats right apparently we are in for a modernized Gilligan’s Island Movie, starring Micheal Cera and Beyonc� Knowles.

“Gilligan’s Island” creator Sherwood Schwartz and his son Lloyd are moving ahead with a big screen version of the classic sitcom reports TV Guide.

The pair are after “Superbad” and “Juno” star Michael Cera to don the famous red shirt and white hat as Gilligan, and Beyonce Knowles to play sexymovie�star Ginger.�

I love that old show, but a movie doesn’t seem necessary. Michael Cera seems like a really good choice, he’s great at being awkward… but is he gangly enough?
