Kanye West Asks Franz Ferdinand for Singing Tips

If you’re like me, you can appreciate Kanye West‘s 808′s and Heartbreak for the artistic risk that it is, but over the month and some change since its release, you’re skipping through most of the songs when they shuffle through your iPod playlists.

West is no singer – despite what electronic vocoders may or may not imply.  True it doesn’t stop attendees to his live shows from going bananas, but frankly – it is what it is.

Last week West performed along side such hipsters as Vampire Weekend and Franz Ferdinand (among others) and when ‘Ye had the chance to chat with Franz front man Alex Kapranos, he asked some advice on improving his singing capabilities.

The prescribed regimen?

Not to have conversations in noisy places, to not smoke, and to stay away from the spirits.

“Spirits?” Kanye said. “Like, ghosts?”
Awesome.
