Belated Christmas wishes come today via John Mayer covering Mariah Carey‘s holiday staple “All I Want for Christmas (Is You)”.

There’s something about Mayer that’s unintentionally funny a lot of the times. Kinda like if you were at a bar taking shots with your pastor one night, swapping dirty jokes, and then you tried your hardest to keep a straight face during his sermon the following Sunday. Trust me, I’ve been there.

By all respects, this is a very decent, and simple cover. Could make a nice addition to the Christmas music playlist next year.
