Pete Doherty is reportedly clean from drugs and “has vowed to stay clean into 2009.”

However, let’s be clear on one thing:  he’s only giving up DRUGS, not anything else.  He says:

“I’m sick of going around in circles. I’m clean now and I’m going to stay that way this year — apart from the fags [cigarettes] and the booze.”

So he’s free to get drunk, just not HIGH.  Nice way to leave yourself a fat loophole, Petey.  Good luck with that.
