Dr. Dre’s Son Cause Of Death: Drug Overdose

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office has concluded that Andre Young, Jr., died of an accidental drug overdose on August 23, 2008.

“This case has been closed, it’s been ruled an accident due to morphine and heroin intoxication,” coroner spokesman Larry Dietz told PEOPLE.

The son of Dr. Dre and Jenita Porter was found dead by his mother, who “told investigators that her son had been out with friends that night, and she recalled hearing him snoring around 5:30 a.m.”

Young was just 20 years old when he died.

My 26 son went out to watch a street hockey game and never came home. I know now there was no hockey game, but what I will never understand is why someone dropped him off on the street across from my house to die. Someone riding by saw him on the street and called 911, but he was gone. I will never be the same and whoever did this is guilty of neglegent homicide.

My 16 year old son died 5 days after his birthday of a heart attack. NO parent should outlive their children, it’s unnatural. The heartache never leaves.. My heart goes out to Dre and his family. When my son passed, his father completely turned his back on me, so I am greatful for MY family. When something like this happens, you need all the support you can get from your loved ones. My prayers are with the Young family.
