Jude Law Extinguishes Robert Downey Jr.’s Crotch Fire
There’s already been speculation that the Sherlock Holmes movie is cursed. Now we’ve learned of another on-set accident – one that led to a very personal moment between stars Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law.
Downey (as Holmes) has a pipe, and some of the lit tobacco fell onto his lap. He lept out of the armchair, exclaiming his crotch was on fire… Jude sprung to action, rubbing Robert’s lap with enough friction to reignite the flames, and topping it off with water from a nearby flower vase.
This lends a whole new meaning to Brandon Davis‘ phrase “firecrotch”!!! I am totally sure that Jude was just trying to help, and didn’t even realize what he was doing until after the fact. But a (straight) guy’s usually got to be pretty drunk to grab (and rub) another dude’s crotch like that, right? Hopefully Robert’s parts suffered no lasting damage!
