Jennifer Hudson Will NOT Sing at Obama’s Inauguration

The New York Times reported last week that Jennifer Hudson would be singing “The Star Spangled Banner” at the inauguration for President-Elect Barack Obama, but her reps have denied the news. It would have been the singer’s first public engagement in the two months since the tragic murders of her mother, sister and nephew.

The inauguration denial means that Hudson’s return to the stage will likely come at the upcoming MusiCares Person of the Year gala in Los Angeles on February 6, where she will share the bill with Neil Diamond, Coldplay, Adele, Foo Fighters, Josh Groban and Tim McGraw among others.

We can’t wait to have you back, Jen!
