Vanessa Hudgens Tries Out For ‘New Moon’

Vanessa Hudgens from High School Musical auditioned for a role in the Twilight sequel New Moon

With all the “New Moon” casting rumors that have been floating around since “Twilight” hit theaters, we were especially wondering who would play werewolf Leah Clearwater, Jacob Black’s feisty and heartbroken frienemy.

Well, one of the rumored actresses in the running — “High School Musical” starlet Vanessa Hudgens — has apparently taken the next step and auditioned for the role, according to “Twilight” actress Ashley Greene.

I’m sure she’d fit right in with the whole phenomenon. This is a series aimed at the High School Musical demographic so why wouldn’t they cast her? Another teen idol on the poster can only help with marketing, and this series isn’t about quality it’s about making big money.

Wait a minute Twilight and high school musical are completely 100% different, i don’t think the same type of people watch both movies. Anyway, it’s been deined by both summit and vanessa’s people anyway. I for one couldn’t be happier. Go Twilight!
