I am so glad that NBC got Friday Night Lights back.� I don’t think it was a smart move to give the show to Direct TV.� Talk about eliminating a HUGE� chunk of your viewers!

Last night’s episode was packed with all sorts of drama and emotion.� Loved it!

Tami is all about doing her job as principal and decides to take the jumbotron money and allocate it to academics.� Of course Buddy pitches a huge fit and ends up getting all sweaty and threatening.� Buddy seriously gets on my nerves.� He is like a busybody of football.� The guy needs a new hobby.

Coach is working on getting Smash into shape for a college football walk-on.� Meanwhile, Tyra is grasping at straws by pulling out the hooker act to help get her elected the student body president.

Billy bursts in on Lyla and Tim in bed, with Tim’s letter of interest from Oklahoma State.� Of course Lyla now goes on a mission to make Tim take it seriously.

Meanwhile, Tami is at the school defending her plans for the jumbotron funds.� I think she is a tough cookie and I love that she doesn’t back down, not without a fight anyhow.

Matt is stuck at the docs with his grandma who is refusing to take her meds.� The poor kid needs to be a kid, not deal with his grandma’s issues.� Geesh!

Coach keeps working with Smash despite Smash’s stand off attitude.� I want to street fight Smash!� Hello, Coach is busting his butt for you and he’s not getting anything out of it!� Focus!

Tami continues to battle for the academics in need of the jumbotron funds.� Buddy pulls out the mayor and she starts threatening Tami.� Again, I want to fight Buddy!

Buddy continues his ‘control everything mission’ by cooking Lyla dinner.� He confronts his own daughter now….he hates Tim and lets Lyla know that Tim is white trash and a man whore.� Gee “dad” thanks!� He even goes as far as ask if they are using protection!� yuck!

Matt goes to a lawyer t see what he can do about being his grandma’s guardian.� Turns out he will have to be emancipated. Great, now he has to find his dad to sign the papers, in Iraq!� Matt ends up running into Julie at her new job at Applebee’s and I am sure their flame is still burning HOT!� Love it

Buddy has set up a dinner for Tim and Lyla to meet the McCoys…an Oklahoma State alum.� Lyla takes Tim shopping for a nice outfit, of course Tim is reluctant.� It’s totally Tim.�� Why wouldn’t he be?� This won’t be a good ending.

This is where Tyra gets her sister Mindy’s stripper friends to put on a slutty act and hand out� flyers ON CAMPUS to help her win the election.� She totally gets busted for that, by Tami of course.� Then, she keeps the ‘below her’ act going later at the assembly where she promises that (if she wins) prom will be so awesome, getting laid will be a breeze.� Say what?!?� Well, that worked and she won!

Coach goes to see Smash at the Alamo Freeze and the bottom line of that visit was, “Suck it up.� That’s what being a man is all about.� Don’t disappoint me.”� Nice!� I love Coach!

Back to Matt and his troubles with Grandma.� Matt finally decides to take a drive (in Landry’s car) to his mother’s house to have her sign the imancipation papers.� I know he so didn’t want to see her.� but, it was a much quicker than trying to find hids dad in Iraq, right?� I am glad, I want to see how this relationship works out.� I hope that Matt and his mom can build up a new relationship.� They won’t ever have a mother son relationship…but, they could become good friends and I think Matt could use a good, ADULT friend to help him out in life.

I also have my fingers crossed for Julie and Matt to get back together.� She totally cheered him up at Applebee’s and she just has a string connection with him.

Coach gets the whole team together for Smash to get a good scrimage going to help him snap out of his “woe is me” act.� It worked!� Smash came alive!� Later coach tells Smash he gets a walk-on at Texas A&M…yes!� His mamma is so proud!

And of course Buddy had to finish off the night by letting Tami know that she will have to answer to him and everyone else at a town hall meeting in 2 weeks.� The guy is such a jerk!� I really wish someone would put him in his place.
