‘Dark Knight’ Sequel Confirmed for 2011

batman2011

Speculation has run rampant, but the producer of the next film in the new Batman franchise is set to hit theaters in 2011. Other details are yet to be revealed for The Dark Knight sequel.

Since acquiring the rights to the superhero from DC Comics back in 1979, Uslan has executive produced all of the Caped Crusader movies from “Batman” (1989) to “The Dark Knight” (2008).

Uslan will be onboard as executive producer for the “Dark Knight” sequel, which he estimates will be theaters by 2011. As for the identity of the next round of Batman’s supervillains and love interests, Uslan remains tight-lipped. “It’s one of those deals where if I told you, I’d have to kill you,” he says with a chuckle.

It’s good to see a timeline falling into place. I’m hoping the next film is on par with the first two.

TDK sequel should stick with the same story, and Nolan needs to make it a closure to fill in a trilogy. In his first installments batman’s just starting out, and people have the wrong idea about him. In the next film batman needs to officially be known as a hero. The joker needs to make some kind of appearence, not a new actor maybe a cameo. They could use outakes from TDK or try somthing else. It wouldn’t be fair to replace Heath’s performance, but the joker still needs a part in the sequel. About a new villian, who’s going to be batmans new nemisis? The riddler would be good, but make him some kind of detective obsesed with batmans idenity.(more like a secondary villian) A female villian would be good like catwoman or harley quin, harley could take the jokers place. Either one would work, plus they could be bruce waynes love interesed. A third villian might even make it more synister, one that hasn’t made it to the big screen yet. Above all batman needs to clean his name, and maybe some kind of idenity exsposure would be good(followed by a cover up) well thats my opinion i guess will all find out for ourselves when GOTHAM is released.

I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAID BUT I THINK THE NEW LOVE INTEREST/VILLIAN SHOULD BE THALIA AL GHUL.BECAUSE IT LINKS BACK TO THE FIRST MOVIE. SECOND I THINK BATMAN NEEDS MORE OF A PHYSICAL THREAT SO I THINK BANE WOULD BE PERFECT MAYBE EVEN THALIA BODY GUARD/BOYFRIEND.

IDEA ABOUT RIDDLER WAS PERFECT.I THINK TWOFACE SHOULD BE SECRETLY LOCKED AWAY DEEP IN ARKHAM BY GORDAN SO THAT PEOPLE DO NOT FIND OUT HE KILLED THE PEOPLE ANDJOKER SHOULD BE LOCKED AWAY TO WITH A CAMEO OF HIM AND HARLEY

How could batman be recognized as a hero if everyone thinks he killed harvey dent?

harvey dent isnt dead, and you cant have harley quinn without the joker, batman was accused for the killings FROM harvey dent so that harvey could keep his “good name” so two face WILL be back, as for harley quinn she should apear in arkham asylum with the joker maybe she is locked up maybe she is a therapist if you put in bane you need poison ivy with him so maybe the riddler and two face with the joker and harley quinn in a sub-villian type situation in arkham or bane and poison ivy OR both but have to keep the sequal as dark or darker then the dark knight, batman is a hero but the underground hero type, so let the police AND countless villions chase him it means more action

No, no, no. Posion Ivy and Bane were only put together in the disasterous Batman and Robin film. In the comics, I don;t think they ever worked together.

I think Mr. freeze would be a good villain if they did him correctly. meaning no Arnold Schwartzenegger.

An even better idea would be to have the riddler, played as a cold, calculating son of a ___ orchestrating a take over of the warring mob familes, controlled by penguin and black mask.

And Harley Quinn was actually a therapist assigned to the Joker. The Joker turned her to crime for his own purpose. If im not mistaken.

This is called the dark night. Their is no Robin! becuse it would make the movie gay. They have to keep it Dark. Riddler has to be a killer he finds out what kind of new class criminals this town needs like joker said.

    1. Riddler is like the movie SAW put the people in different rooms and see witch one batman will save Riddler love how joker played that game but riddler will play it better.

    2. Ivy’s blood, saliva, breath and skin is what helps her get through the armer and walls to dimonds.

    3. Bane had help to get that chemical and Ivy was part of it. I blam her that is why Bane should be in the same film with. I want to see Bane rip heads off like Jason or Mikel Myers

    4. Penguan hands three fingures, nose long, and fat but takes over gothem “mayor” but kills to make gothem take bruce’s bussniess away from him. he wants to steal all the money Bruce has maybe if not mayor becomes Bruces partner.

    5. Cat women a Theif always getting
away from batman never talks to each
other. no love in the movie batman
already loved and shes dead. only 10 min of the
movie batman sees cat women. thats all we need to see

    6. Mr Freeze loves his wife but the wife is dead. He knows everything about frost and the cold liquid he is upsest with his wife he believes he can bring her back to life even though she is under ground in a casket he has the same powers like Ivy but its the cold instead of poison he is like a vampire only able to come out at night
or he dies in the sun. Has to keep a jar on his head but if any one touches him or breath or blood they will turn in to a ice and break once heat touches them

How dark Alpha what the move means
    6. Begins = Scarecrow. = Warm up
Dark = Joker+ Harvy Dent. = New Class Criminals
Darker = Riddler + Harly Q. = Death is the answer
Death Dark = Ivy + Bane or Two Face = Killing + taking feels great
Demon Dark = MR Freeze = My love is their as cold as ice
Black Blood = Penguian = Screw your life Bruce
Kill Dark night = Joker + all = Batman gets help from
Night Wing and Bat girl or
    just superman and the others
    to distroy arkham asylum
and all bad guys to meet
up with superman and ???FRIENDS??? some where else

Ok. Let’s back track. Batman Forever had two villains team up. Each had to have their own backstory and took away from from the main story. Batman & Robin (groan) was simply a live action cartoon and not worth the effort to make. Have we not learned anything about too many villains in the same movie (Spiderman 3 anyone)? Everyone seems to be married to the idea of the Riddler in the next Batfilm. If done well, it will be tremendous. Joker represented chaos, Riddler would probably represent an anal retentive attention to detail version of “order”. Catwoman can work as well but I doubt it. Penguin doesn’t have to be a disfigured, Burtonesque, freak, but can be a mob boss with his own schtick. Nobody needs to go overboard with the umbrella weapons or long noses and top hats.

People like Poison Ivy with her mutated saliva and “magic plants” have no place in the Nolan vision of Gotham City. Neither does Mr. Freeze and his Sci Fi approach. The only way Bane would even come close to being viable would be as a random street thug so hopped up on drugs that fear and pain aren’t in his equation.

Keep it real, keep it believable, and stay the Hell away from teenage boys in tights. No sidekicks. Remember, Bruce/Batman doesn’t play well with others.

The 3rd and (FINAL) batman movie should have so many surprises. For the movie being left the way it did it should be a lot darker. A lot of people will want to come back to watch it over and over. With, maybe, Talia being Bruce Wayne’s love interest. A mutated Killer Croc And Azrael being Bruce Wayne’s half brother. Which grew up with Talia having hatred (jealusy) for his brother Bruce. Maybe have a family getting killed at the start of the movie by Killer Croc. Which turns out to be the family of Robin’s (Nightwing) (him watching in the shadows). Leave it as that, (NO MORE OF ROBIN!) Azrael and Talia gets killed in the crossfire of Killer Croc of protecting Bruce Wayne. Which sets up the battle between Killer Croc and the Batman.

    Talia – Angelina Jolie)
Killer Croc – Tony Jaa or,
    Wesley Snipes
    Azrael – Ryan Phillippe
    Alfred – Michael Cain
    Batman – Christain Bale

DEPP OR DANIEL DAY AS RIDDLER

okay the thing that makes these new movies so great is that all the characters seem so real, the joker in the dark knight is so believe able. i like to think jack was playing the role to fit the comics but in the new one its like they are tyring to show what these people would be like if they were REAL people. that is what a real joker would be like, same with the batman and scarecrow. i can only see a few characters fitting this theme, people who have been mutated isnt believable these days, so i can see only the riddler, the penguin, or maybe a few others working, i love the rumor of depp playing the riddler. i was running it through my head and he would be perfect. he wouldnt over do it like jim did. honestly he should have been casted as a joker in some movie because jim is obviously a comedian.

I don’t care who’s in the next movie or what the plot line is, just as long as it receives 4 stars and isn’t a bore. And that they make posters.

A replacement for Heath isn’t very appealing, since no one can beat Ledger at playing the Joker (not even thejokerblogs guy), but even just the mention of him in the movie would fulfill my need for him to be in it.

Obviously, it’s going to be the Riddler, or somebody like that. He’ll probably be playing something of a psychotic rambler who’ll be trying to figure Batman out, and who he is. If the Joker were to be in there and that’s what was happening, Joker probably wouldn’t let Edward expose him.
