Oprah Winfrey Considered for Senate Seat, Is “Amused” & “Not Interested”

oprah

Oprah Winfrey likes to “toot her own horn”, so to speak, so she went on BFF Gayle King‘s radio show on SIRIUS XM’S Oprah & Friends channel to discuss the talk of her filling the Illinois senate seat vacated by Barack Obama. Here’s the scoop:

“I’m pretty amused by the whole thing.” The talk show host was speaking about comments made by Blagojevich during an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Oprah told her good friend Gayle that she missed the GMA interview while she was exercising in the morning, but would have “fallen off the treadmill” if she had.

Blagojevich, accused of trying to sell the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by Obama to the highest bidder, told GMA: “She seemed to be someone who had helped Barack Obama in a significant way become president. She was obviously someone with a much broader bully pulpit than other senators.”

Oprah set the record straight with her best pal Gayle and when asked whether she would have considered accepting an offer for the senate seat, she said “absolutely not,” especially with her crazy schedule. However, she added that she is sure whe would make a good senator, but “I’m just not interested.”

Wow. Well at least the chick’s humble.
