A “re-boot” of the Tomb Raider franchise is coming to a theater near you. This time Lara Croft won’t be played by Angelina Jolie.

Warners Bros. and producer Dan Lin are in early development on a a reboot of “Tomb Raider,” the popular video game action franchise.

As an open-writing assignment, the project is still in its nascent stages. An actress who could play the role Angelina Jolie made famous would likely come on after a writer and director are attached.

What actress on the scene today could possibly replace Angelina Jolie as Tomb Raider? Seriously, who?

David Duchovny looks like he is back to his sexy self now that he is out of rehab. Time heals all things or something like that right? I think maybe he was the stronger one to admit he had a problem because now he looks amazing!

David was asked at the SAG Awards on Sunday night which was more strenuous to film. Californication or the X Files. And his answer may surprise you…he said the X Files.

David explained that X Files involved very long hours – 16 to 18 over the course of 8 straight days in a row for a period of nine years. He said the acting on X Files definitely required a lot more stamina then his current Californication show which is on cable.

I am surprised since David was alot younger when X Files was on. But I guess to each their own.

Obviously a low-quality version of the music video premiere for Kelly Clarkson‘s new song “My Life Would Suck Without You”, but the fact that the single’s number one is sure to mean it’s gonna be near impossible to maintain a free look at this video for too long.

Clarkson looks absolutely amazing… fresh-faced, and slim-downed, it looks like the original American Idol winner is back to make up for lost time and (discount-bin-headed) crap albums.

After years of talking about it, an A-Team movie is finally officially on its way.

Twentieth Century Fox has assembled a creative team to transform 1980s TV series “The A-Team” into a summer 2010 film.

Fox has struggled to find a way to exploit the branded TV show while avoiding the series’ campy tone. Director John Singleton had most recently been attached to such an attempt before dropping out. Woods came in and started over.

“Tony and I feel that marrying this Scott Free project with Joe’s sensibility will result in a fast-paced, exciting franchise, one we hope will be around for years to come,” Scott said.

Carnahan and the Scott brothers say they will use the original premise of the series as the template for an action film. In the original, four Vietnam vets convicted of armed robbery escape from military prison and became do-gooder mercenaries.

No word yet on casting, don’t expect the real Mr. T to come back. I pity the fool who has to try to play him.

If you saw Grindhouse in theaters when it was a double feature you may remember a certain mock movie trailer called Machete starring Danny Trejo. Rumors have circulated that there would be a full feature length movie made from it. Now, there are reportedly going to be three movies!

�Danny Trejo has announced that the Weinstein brothers are intending to quickly, and with the collaboration of Robert Rodriguez, make a real Machete movie. Or, rather, a trilogy of them, intended to go direct to DVD.�

No source has been named but the site is a very reputable one, and has often been the first place I�ve heard of something slightly unlikely that later turned out to be true.

Sounds like a ton of fun, sadly straight-to-DVD is certainly not as exciting as theatrical release.

I admit it, PETA isn’t my favorite organization in the world but I do think they have a hit with this commercial. I admit it had me squirming in my seat. It was deemed inappropriate by NBC and was banned to be a Super Bowl commercial. And what exactly were the problems NBC had with it? Here is the edited NSFW list they sent PETA, they said they would have to cut these following scenes to be reconsidered…

* licking pumpkin

* touching her [chest] with her hand while eating broccoli

* pumpkin from behind between legs

* rubbing pelvic region with pumpkin

* [doing]� herself with broccoli (fuzzy)

All I can say is that I am sure there would be many women that would become vegetarians after the Super Bowl. Finally, I love you PETA! Do you think it’s hot?

Though Whitney Port‘s The City is way cooler than it’s predecessor, The Hills, the ratings for the spin-off have been only mediocre. However, MTV has been smart enough to order more episodes of the fabulous NYC series. On her experience with filming her love life and showing it to the world, here’s what Whit had to say:

“I am dating on the show. It was something I was really nervous about. Clearly, I mean, who wants to date while having three cameras around you? I mean, it’s not an ideal situation.”

And as it turns out, Whitney is more comfortable than she thought she�d be when it comes to showing affection on-screen. “It’s natural. I just let my true feelings show, and then I can do no wrong.”

Thank goodness there will be more of The City, since this will most likely be the final season of The Hills. Tear. Of course, media whores Heidi and Spencer will probably move to NYC just to get on the show.

JASON MESNICK IS STILL A DOG MONTHS LATER!

We have all seen the teasers for Deanna Pappas showing up at Jason Mesnick‘s bachelor pad and telling him she made a mistake. She recently revealed a few tidbits about her appearance that was taped last fall…

“Unfortunately everyone will just have to watch and see what I am doing there. It will be worth the wait,” Pappas told People in an interview published Monday. “The women were not that happy to see me, I can tell you that,” she added.

Pappas also brushed off People’s attempt to confirm that (as ABC’s teaser for Mesnick’s The Bachelor edition implied) her visit featured her telling Mesnick that she felt she “made a mistake” by not picking him at the conclusion of her The Bachelorette edition. “I have no idea what you are talking about,” she said.

Deanna also revealed that the on-air reunion wasn’t the first time the two had talked since she dumped him in mid-proposal on The Bachelorette.

“I was very happy for Jason [when he became the next The Bachelor star]. We talked a lot before we went on,” Pappas told People. “I told him it would be one of the best experiences of his life and that he would form many wonderful friendships and fall in love. I warned him that it is wonderful and hard at the same time.”

As for all the mean-spirited remarks by the media and those around her after she broke up with fiance Jesse Csincsak, here’s what she had to say.

“Hopefully one day people will be sorry for the false accusations and mean things that they have said, often on the Internet. Although I did choose to put myself out there on national TV, there are things I believe should be kept private and out of respect for me and Jesse,” she told People. “We realized that we were two totally different people who wanted totally different things and we lived our lives in totally different ways and it was never gonna work. I loved him sincerely, but it would not have worked in the long run.

She added that there was “no chance” that she and Csincsak would ever be reuniting, but also maintained that she has not lost faith in finding true love.

Whatever, Deanna. I have nothing nice to say, so I will keep it to myself!

Oh yeh, if one Osmond on Dancing with the Stars wasn’t enough cheese to make your stomach turn, here comes another!!

During a segment on The Bonnie Hunt Show, Donny Osmond appeared with sister Marie – who starred on the show’s fifth edition – and let slip that he was officially on board for the next installment, which premieres in March.

“I guess I am making an announcement. I’ll say I am seriously considering doing it, let’s put it that way,” Donny said, laughing and adding: “I guess I just let the cat out of the bag.”

Great! Maybe he’ll faint, too. Marie got way too far on the show because all 134, 762 members of her family called 10 times each every night. Hopefully he’s cut early, or he cuts the cheese factor down a lot. Riiiiight.
