A.J. McLean (one of the most ironic last names ever, considering) may have fallen off the wagon well-publicized by his battle with alcoholism, according to TMZ – who spotted the former boy bander last night stumbling out of Hollywood night spot Key Club.

As McLean nearly falls into the street, one of his friends calls him out — right out in the middle of Hollywood — emotionally confronting the guy who went to rehab for alcohol and cocaine abuse in 2001… and again in 2002.

Witnesses inside the Key Club say they saw McLean taking shots and drinking beers during the show. After the confrontation, McLean’s friends forced him into a cab and sent him home.

Football’s favorite bad boy, Terrell Owens, will be starring in a new reality series on VH1 beginning in the summer of this year.

In the series, T.O. will be shadowed in the off-season by his best friends and publicists Monique Jackson and Kita Williams as they battle the two sides of his large personality.  Viewers will discover that behind all the braggadocio, emotional histrionics, and sculpted physique that is the outspoken media magnet known to the world as “T.O.” –there is also a quiet, sensitive, mild-mannered guy from Alexander City, Alabama…that’s Terrell.

“We are thrilled to bring such a great athlete, who is one of the biggest names and personalities in all the world of sports to VH1 for a surprising high octane look inside his superstar life off the field,” said Jeff Olde, EVP Original Programming & Production.

These outspoken, vibrant women are more like T.O.’s sisters than people who work for him.  They will function as matchmakers and therapists and also put their marketing expertise to use and help him make his life off of the field as successful as his life on it!

The Dallas Cowboys wide receivers is one of the most outspoken stars of the NFL and his mouth and attitude have gotten him into trouble in the past. Maybe this series will expose the softer side…. Nah, probably not.

It took her long enough!  M.I.A. has been racking up the accolades lately, with both a Grammy award nomination and an Oscar nod (for her contribution to the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack).

What does a beehive, hot pink heels and a heart shaped box have in common? Avril Lavigne of course! Avril hasn’t been seen for awhile, rumors were she was pregnant. She doesn’t look pregnant here at all!

Avril was at a photo shoot for her clothing line, Abbey Dawn, which is being marketed to juniors. Abby Dawn was inspired by a name she was called when she was little. It features a lot of pinks and zebra prints…the style that she wears.

“I have a very particular style. I want it to be available to a lot of girls, and I want it to be affordable. I walked through (a Los Angeles) Kohl’s the other day and said, ‘Oh, when my line is here it’s totally going to stand out.”

This past weekend (Jan.23-25, 2009) didn’t give much success to the newly opening films. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans didn’t even hit #1, Paul Blart: Mall Cop stayed on top. The other opener, Inkheart only managed to hit #7 on the chart.

Steven Speilberg is taking a break from live action to make a 3D motion capture film called The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn. It is begininning principle photography and will star Jamie Bell, Daniel Craig, Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Gad Elmaleh, Toby Jones and Mackenzie Crook.

Paramount Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment have announced the start of principal production in Los Angeles on the 3D Motion Capture Film “The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn,” directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Jamie Bell (“Billy Elliot,” “Defiance”) as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig (“Quantum of Solace,” “Defiance”) as the nefarious Red Rackham.

It must be a pretty great story for Spielberg to devote so much to it. It will be very interesting to see this one develop.

James Brown‘s upcoming biopic directed by Spike Lee and starring Wesley Snipes will not feature the voice of Snipes singing but actual recordings of the late great James Brown.

“We’re doing it together – it’s going to happen,” Lee told MTV News in an exclusive interview at the Sundance Film Festival this week. The Oscar nominated director of “Do the Right Thing” and “Inside Man” lavished praise on Snipes. “He’s my man,” Lee said; but when it comes to the vocals on Brown’s classic tracks like “I Got You (I Feel Good)” and “Get Up Offa That Thing,” expect to hear the authentic voice of James Brown being dubbed in.

“I want to hear James Brown’s voice,” the director said. “That’s just my personal taste.”

Makes sense to me, James Brown isn’t exactly a voice one could easily mimic, besides can Wesley Snipes even sing?
